An alcohol measuring devise circa 1915 !!!
A True piece of history here! Notice the thin part of the glass tube is written in German and French. This peice was made before World War I. Prior to the treaty of Versailles, the Lorraine region of france was part of Germany.
My Uncle's Father in Law was licensed to make "Eau de Vie" , "water of Life" was/is a liquer made from fruit. In the Lorraine region, Eau de Vie is most often made from Mirabelles.
The measuring tool comes in a wooded tube with a matching wooden top and the original cork centering peice to protect the glass tube from damage.
